A 2015 Personal Milestone; Anticipation for 2016

As 2015 slipped into the night I reflected on the highs and lows of the passing year; but it didn’t take long to change my focus to the New Year and the promise it would bring. On a personal as well as a professional level 2015 was like fine wine; a very good year. On the professional side I am proud to say that 2015 marked 30 years at ICI for me.  Funny as it may seem, I did not realize it was my anniversary year until after we recognized our five-, ten- and fifteen-year recipients and the company then surprised me with a Chicago Cubs Jersey numbered 30.

Rather than look back on the past I would like to look forward and talk about what is in store for ICI.

Staff

Over the course of the last 30 years, ICI has been blessed with many talented employees.  2016 is no exception; our staff of construction professionals is the most talented group of individuals we have ever assembled.  This group will ensure that our culture of outstanding customer service will continue into the company’s 34th year.

Technology

For as long as I can remember, ICI has prided itself on being on the cutting edge of new technologies.  For years, the construction industry lagged in available hardware and software that developers, architects and their end-users could collaborate with to monitor progress and help them manage the bottom line. However, in the past few years we have witnessed rapid development.  ICI began using Project Management Software 25 years ago to document and streamline the construction process.  2016 will again bring enhancements to our systems and new tools to our employees and customers.

Growth

We enter 2016 with a strong backlog along with many new and exciting opportunities.  The past 33 years have provided ICI with a wide variety of experiences, market opportunities and challenges that have prepared us for the years ahead. We ended 2015 with our highest volume to date. With our talented staff, new technology and strong backlog, I anticipate we will continue down this path of success!
